Seppe Smits: the rider so smooth it looks like he’s in slo-mo
They say the camera never lies (although we’re not sure who ‘they’ are) but we think this one might be telling the odd fib. It’s a video from Burton Snowboards of Belgian rider Seppe Smits, who grew up riding dry slope in his home country. If you don’t know Seppe, he’s certainly a rising star to keep an eye on. He won the 2012 TTR World Tour Big Air championship title in February and came second in the Air And Style, behind winner Peetu Piiroinen.
What makes this video unusual is that it looks like Seppe is hitting the kickers in slo-mo, except the camera is running at normal speed. To be fair, it looks like we’re riding in slo-mo when we go off kickers, but we normally end up with a face full of snow as a result.
